Powering our community.

If you burn fossil fuels at work or home, you have an opportunity to Go All Electric. Our purpose is to help make the Genesee-Finger Lakes region healthier, more efficient, and more resilient by supporting a transition to electric cars, homes, and buildings.

The portion of the power grid that includes our region is one of the cleanest in the nation.

  • Hydroelectric Power

Hydroelectric Power has historically been an important source of energy for our region, and it will continue to provide inexpensive, reliable, and renewable electricity for as long as the Genesee continues to flow

  • Solar Power

Even with our long winters and overcast skies, solar power provides an effective and affordable source of energy for our region. Solar projects large and small bring revenue and energy independence to local communities.

  • Wind power

Wind power is one of the lowest-priced forms of energy available today. This industry has also created good jobs and pairs well with existing farms. This affordable, clean energy source will continue to grow.

  • Nuclear

A significant portion of the energy produced in our region currently comes from nuclear. Though it's not a perfect energy source, nuclear does not emit greenhouse gases nor contribute to climate change.

  • Power Grid

Electrifying our buildings and vehicles will increase demand for electricity. Our local power grid is safe and reliable. Significant investments have been and will continue to be made toward meeting the growing needs of beneficial electrification.

When we plug our homes, workplaces and vehicles into the grid, we get all of the associated benefits of that clean energy.
